About The Position

Join Aura Behavioral Health as a Registered Behavior Technician and help our clients find their Aura! Aura Behavioral Health uses Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach our clients a variety of skills including self-expression, independence, social skills, self-awareness and coping techniques. Our goal is to help each client and their families live healthier and happier lives. We are currently seeking accountable compassionate professionals to work one-on-one with our clients and help us meet these goals!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s in psychology, education, or related field is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Must be professional and have a strong work ethic.
• Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between 15-60+ miles to client homes is required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly preferred.
• Ideal related work experience includes childcare, daycare, special education, classroom aide, direct support specialist, therapeutic support specialist, behavior technician, autism support specialist, pediatric, home health aide, youth counselor, social work, mental health tech, and paraprofessional.

Responsibilities

• Engaging children in structured, play-based learning to encourage communication, independence, and problem-solving skills.
• Implementing behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA to address and improve language acquisition, functional communication training, social skills training, daily living skills, reducing maladaptive behaviors, and community safety skills.
• Tracking progress and collecting data to monitor each child’s improvements.
• Providing consistency and structure to help children feel secure and supported.
• Collaborating with families, supervisors, and a team of professionals dedicated to each child’s success.
