About The Position

If you have a background in psychology, sociology, child development, or a related field—and are looking for hands-on experience working with children on the autism spectrum—this role may be a great fit for you. At Heredia Therapy Group, we are committed to supporting children and families who are often underserved. This is a purpose-driven role where your consistency, patience, and dedication can make a lasting impact in a child’s life. This position is best suited for individuals who are genuinely interested in the behavioral health field and are seeking meaningful, real-world clinical experience—not short-term or exploratory work. Heredia Therapy Group is a multi-specialty mental health organization with client care at the center of everything we do. We are passionate about healing. Whether clients are seeking clarity through assessment, growth through therapy, or support during uncertain times, our team is here to guide them. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based services that meet the diverse needs of our California communities. As a Behavior Technician (BT), you will work directly with children with autism and other developmental or cognitive disabilities using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Services are provided in home, community, and/or clinic settings, allowing for a dynamic and engaging work environment. Working in ABA is incredibly rewarding, but it also requires: Patience and emotional presence Consistency and reliability Willingness to learn and apply feedback A genuine commitment to each child’s progress We are looking for individuals who are ready to grow in this field and contribute meaningfully, rather than those seeking a temporary or trial experience. If you’re passionate about making an impact and gaining meaningful experience in the behavioral health field, we’d love to connect.
