THE ROLE When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include: Executing lower-level behavior interventions with students of concern, including check-ins and check-outs, student reflections and de-escalation; Helping progress monitor student behavior trackers; Conducting in-class push ins/pull outs to help with de-escalation and coping skills; Monitoring students in detention and in-school suspension; Performing discipline data entry; Assisting Teachers with the supervision of students in all instructional settings; Assisting Teachers with behavior management techniques by demonstrating, modeling, and positively reinforcing desired behaviors; Monitoring students during transition times throughout the school day, inside and outside of the classroom, including hallways, cafeteria, gym, and other areas where students are present; Monitoring in-school suspension; Holding students accountable to campus behavioral expectations and administer appropriate consequences; Additional duties as assigned. Requirements

• 0 - 2 years of experience working with students and student behavior
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
• Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
• Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
• Demonstrated ability to work on a team
• A dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution, in a social science field

Responsibilities

• Compensation - This position is a non-exempt, hourly position; salary offers commensurate with experience.
• Health and Supplemental Insurance - A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
