About The Position

This role supports students with behavioral challenges by developing and implementing effective behavior management strategies. Under the direction of Educational Services or a designated Director, the specialist collaborates with educators, staff, and families to design individualized support plans such as BSPs, BIPs, 504 Plans, and IEPs. The role involves observing student behavior, conducting assessments, providing case management, and offering consultation and training to staff and families. The specialist also supports district-wide behavior initiatives, ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies, and contributes to a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university and/or college
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required
  • Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Credential
  • Teaching or Services credential i.e. School Psychologist Credential or Special Education Credential authorizing services in Mild Moderate or Moderate to Severe
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Three (3) years of successful experience in special education, specifically with students with behavioral and/or mental health needs
  • Current Resume and Cover Letter
  • Valid Education Services Credential or Special Education Credential
  • Valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Credential
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation signed & dated within the last 2 years

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge in drafting behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Effective communication skills with parents, school district staff, or community-based organizations.
  • Experience in a school setting implementing Positive Behavior Supports.
