About The Position

The Behavior Specialist position at the Center for Social Dynamics (CSD) involves implementing evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis programs for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Flexible availability, especially Monday through Thursday from 3-8 pm and Saturday
  • Completion of new hire training conducted online and in person
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Sensitivity to working with a diverse population
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
  • Knowledgeable in computer/word processing software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children
  • Background in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
  • Familiarity with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

  • Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions unless time-off has been granted or the parents have communicated otherwise.
  • Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain productivity if a session is cancelled by the family.
  • Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans as directed by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader.
  • Travels to various settings to deliver services, including homes and community centers.
  • Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes on each session.
  • Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to the clinical team immediately.
  • Participates in regular meetings and communicates with Clinical Leaders regarding Treatment Plans and family concerns.
  • Completes necessary clinical documentation, including Daily Treatment Session Notes and Behavior Data.
  • Remains current with new research and trends in special education and related fields.
  • Attends staff meetings, in-services, and trainings as requested.
