About The Position

The Behavior Specialist (RBT) position involves working with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to enhance their communication skills and help them regulate their behavior. The role includes providing services in various settings, including clinics, homes, schools, and community environments, primarily in the greater Jacksonville area.

Requirements

  • 1 year working with children (required).
  • Basic computer skills (required).
  • Ability to complete computer trainings from home (required).
  • Ability to complete pre-employment, bi-monthly, and annual on-site trainings (required).
  • Willingness to complete two background checks (online records search and fingerprints from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement) (required).
  • 12 college credits (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel (100%) (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinic setting, their homes, at schools or in the community.
  • Travel to and from clients' homes and schools.
  • Teach communication, social skills, and activities of daily living.
  • Provide behavior management.
  • Complete daily data collection.
  • Attend bi-monthly team meetings.
  • Obtain national credential for behavior technicians.
