About The Position

The Behavior Specialist at the Center for Social Dynamics (CSD) is responsible for implementing evidence-based mental health services and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) programs for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth within the ABA field, emphasizing the importance of compassionate and professional service delivery to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental delays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledgeable in computer/word processing software.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Sensitivity to working with a diverse population.
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, and COVID - California mandated).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the ABA field or related areas.
  • Previous work with children or in educational settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions unless time-off has been granted or the parents have communicated otherwise.
  • Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain productivity if a session is cancelled.
  • Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans as directed by clinical staff.
  • Travels to various settings including home and community to deliver services.
  • Renders completed sessions daily and writes thorough notes.
  • Communicates schedule changes and cancellations to the clinical team immediately.
  • Participates in regular meetings and communicates with Clinical Leaders regarding Treatment Plans and family concerns.
  • Completes necessary clinical documentation including Daily Treatment Session Notes and Behavior Data.
  • Remains current with new research and trends in special education and related fields.
  • Attends staff meetings, in-services, and trainings as requested.
