About The Position

The Behavior Interventionist will work with academy level staff to aid with staff training, creation, implementation, and monitoring of scholar behavior support plans and related tasks.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a school setting
  • Experience coaching/training adults
  • Experience working with students with behavior difficulties
  • Experience creating and implementing behavior-based support plans
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and site team members
  • Ability to contribute and participate in the assessment, intervention, and documentation process
  • Proficient in the use of technology

Responsibilities

  • Support general education and special education teachers in behavior system creation and implementation
  • Provide coaching to classroom staff implementing new behavior support plans
  • Meeting with site-based teams during initial implementation
  • Coach new teachers on classroom management strategies
  • Provide and model tier I/II strategies for academy staff
  • Collect relevant data during plan implementation and guide academy staff on behavior data collection
  • Assist site teams in analyzing data related to the needs of the academy
  • Provide behavior crisis support as needed
  • Complete fidelity checks for behavior support plans
