About the position

The Behavior Intervention Specialist - Parent Trainer role focuses on providing support and training to families with children facing behavioral challenges. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training sessions tailored to the unique needs of each family, focusing on behavior management strategies.
• Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs of families related to behavior management.
• Develop and customize training materials focused on effective behavior intervention techniques.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for parents, ensuring engagement and understanding.
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to parents as they implement behavior strategies at home.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to share insights and strategies for enhancing parent training.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary based on feedback.
• Maintain accurate documentation of training sessions and family progress reports.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Special Education and/or ABA
• Experience working with students with disabilities
• Experience managing behaviors
• Candidates must live in EASTERN QUEENS, SUFFOLK, OR NASSAU COUNTY
