Behavior Analyst- Early Childhood Special Education

About The Position

Provide supports to individual students by coordinating a variety of behavioral service delivery options, including discrete trial trainings and applied behavior analysis for ECSE students with challenging behavior and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders. The BCBA also consults with and supports instructional team members regarding pro-active behavioral modifications and/or interventions for educational programming.

Requirements

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
In good standing with the BACB preferred
BCBA-eligible to be considered.
Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field is required with ability to obtain board certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst.
Knowledge and experience working with children with Autism Spectrum or related disorders.
Knowledge of the principles and practices governing Special Education as it pertains to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Experience using behavioral and instructional strategies with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Applicant possesses 1-3 years of experience working with children ages 3-5 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

Evaluate students for Applied Behavior Analysis programming and development of assessment reports.
Assist in the development, facilitation, conduction and follow up of training in discrete trial training, behavior analysis and applied behavior analysis.
Conduct functional assessments and functional analyses
Develop and monitor functionally- based behavior intervention plans
Monitors student’s on-going progress and provide graphic representation of progress as assigned.
Consult with ECSE classroom teachers and staff regarding programming, behavior issues and specific methods to be used with individual students.
Provides model teaching and other direct instructional supports.
Create and assist ECSE staff with the development and implementation of behavior plans, ABA programs and other appropriate programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other disabilities that present behavior/learning challenges.
Attend IEP meetings to help develop appropriate goals and objectives and create transition plans.
Assist in the development and identification of resources and support information.
Keep current with literature, new research finding and resources.
Provide consultation services and maintain ongoing communication with all constituents; including Ferguson-Florissant School District staff, parents, community contacts and agencies.
Perform other duties and assume other such responsibilities as assigned.
