A competent Master’s level professional who delivers behavioral support to individuals experiencing significant disturbances in daily living due to developmental disabilities, persistent mental illness, challenging behaviors and/or difficulties with skill acquisition which prevents independent living. The BCBA will utilize professional clinical assessment and treatment skills; provide comprehensive case management for Behavior Support Services individuals; collaborate with staff and advocates; develop interventions and/or treatment plan goals; teach staff and individuals new skills to increase independence or decrease maladaptive behavior; provide crisis assessment, intervention and management (carry and respond to a work mobile phone); provide consultation through teaching, observation and feedback using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The BCBA is also responsible for ensuring that services are rendered in accordance to all safety regulations, Federal and state regulations, agency and corporate polices and guidelines for ethical standards. The BCBA performs other duties as directed by supervisor, as needed.
