About The Position

The Behavior Analyst for Adults at WellSpan Philhaven is responsible for conducting descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and providing behavior analytic interpretations of the results. The role involves designing and supervising behavior analytic interventions, developing and implementing appropriate assessment and intervention methods for a range of cases, and teaching others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research. The Behavior Analyst will supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), ensuring that all programming is conducted safely and ethically. The position requires engaging in functional assessments of problematic behaviors, establishing therapeutic relationships, accurately collecting and analyzing behavior data, and collaborating with family and treatment team members to provide effective treatment. The Behavior Analyst will also maintain documentation, attend meetings, and stay updated on current trends in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • 1 year experience in providing Applied Behavior Analysis services.
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavioral analytic treatment plans.
  • Experience in clinical or counseling psychology, special education, or a related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license in the current state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses.
  • Provide behavior analytic interpretations of assessment results.
  • Design and supervise behavior analytic interventions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods for various cases.
  • Teach others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions.
  • Supervise the work of BCaBA and RBT staff.
  • Ensure safe and ethical behavior analytic programming.
  • Engage in functional assessments of problematic behaviors.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients.
  • Accurately collect and analyze behavior data.
  • Design treatment plan goals and interventions based on research.
  • Consult with other BCs or BCBA's for unfamiliar treatment programming.
  • Oversee training and monitor fidelity of behavioral interventions.
  • Provide direct supervision for BTs and Assistant BAs.
  • Collaborate with family and treatment team members.
  • Educate involved parties about ABA interventions.
  • Maintain awareness of patient's history and treatment plan.
  • Document direct and indirect service with patients and families.
  • Attend treatment team meetings and other administrative meetings.
  • Maintain the billable expectation of the program.
