About The Position
The Ypsilanti YMCA Collaborative CDC is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Before or After School Assistants to join our team. As a Before or After School Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our after-school program for children. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all children are safe, engaged, and having fun while participating in our program. This role is essential in creating a positive and nurturing environment for children during the critical hours before and after school. In this position, you will assist with the supervision of children during before (7:30-9:30 am) or after (3-6 pm) school hours. You will help plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and social interaction among the children. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program is a top priority, and you will communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's participation and progress. Maintaining a clean and organized program space is also part of your responsibilities, as is providing positive reinforcement and encouragement to children to foster their development and self-esteem.
