About The Position

General Function: A nurturing, motivated, and professional individual responsible for the care, education, health, and well-being of a group of school-age children. This role assists the Head Teacher with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of daily activities in accordance with the policies, procedures, and philosophies of the YMCA Children's Center, CT State Licensing Regulations, and CT Best Practice Guidelines for School-Age Children. The position maintains a high level of communication and support with staff, families, and the Program Director; participates in YMCA events; maintains a professional and positive attitude; and stays current with YMCA and State of Connecticut professional requirements. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:15 a.m.–9:00 a.m. Occasional afternoons: 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Ideal for college students! Minimum age 18 Additional Hour may be available in other department.
