About The Position

Before & Aftercare staff provide a safe, supervised, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Responsibilities include supervising activities, assisting with homework, managing behavior and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Requirements

• High-school diploma
• Previous childcare experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is often preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
• A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program through active supervision during activities, snack/meal times, homework, and free play.
• Implementing engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate and aligned with program goals.
• Providing support to students with their homework and assignments.
• Managing student behavior, redirecting as needed, and reporting serious issues to the supervisor.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and administrators regarding program updates, student progress, and incidents.
• Keeping the aftercare space clean, organized, and safe.
• Following and enforcing program policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Working collaboratively with other staff members and school personnel to provide a positive and supportive environment.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $20.00 - $22.00
• Before Care - 6:45am - 8:30 am and/or Aftercare 3:15pm - 6:00pm (Monday - Friday)
