About The Position

The position involves interacting with customers both within and outside of the adult beverage department, assisting them in making informed decisions during their shopping experience. The role includes planning, organizing, training, and directing department clerks while performing production and customer service functions to maximize store sales and profits.   • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and State Adult Beverage Laws.
  • Qualified to operate power machinery and work with various job tools.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Mathematical skills to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to assist them in their shopping experience.
  • Plan, organize, train, and direct Adult Beverage department clerks.
  • Perform production and customer service functions.
  • Maximize store sales and profits.

  • Engage customers with a friendly welcome and develop relationships.
  • Assist customers in finding adult beverages and making suggestions.
  • Conduct tastings at least twice a week.
  • Take customer special orders and communicate about availability.
  • Conduct daily department walks to ensure standards are met.
  • Execute the Weekly Display Plan and maintain accurate signage.
  • Order and maintain adequate inventory.
  • Communicate weekly sales opportunities to the grocery manager.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, completing performance reviews.
