Brad's Bees is seeking 3 seasonal, full-time, temporary Beekeepers to work in California and in Polk, Pennington, and Marshall Counties, MN.   • Mow, cut, and weed fields.
  • Perform ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, and ground preparation.
  • Use hand tools including hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws.
  • Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies.
  • Prepare bees and bee equipment for pollination.
  • Access colony to determine if food or medicine is needed.
  • Feed and medicate bees for diseases and pests.
  • Maintain hives in a healthy state.
  • Raise and replace queens.
  • Make divides and clean boxes.
  • Harvest/extract honey and run queen breeding yard.
  • Manipulate and service hive structures.
  • Haul bees to and from different hive locations.
  • Ensure healthy and productive honeybee colonies.
  • Harmonize bees with their natural cycle.
  • Assemble hives using hand tools and induct wild swarming bees into prepared honeycomb frames.
  • Inspect hives and harvest honeycomb.
  • Minimum 3 months agricultural experience working in a honeybee farm handling manual tasks.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to lift/carry 70 lbs.
  • No allergies to bees, bee stings, pollen, honey, or other products of the hive.
  • Clean driving record and/or insurable driver's license may be required to drive company vehicles.
  • Experience in beekeeping or agricultural work.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance.
  • Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract.
  • Daily subsistence provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel, up to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
  • Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
