The Bed Truck Driver: Levels 1 - 3 is responsible for moving all equipment around on location and reporting to the Truck Pusher. This role involves the safe, healthy, and environmentally protective movement of drilling rigs and related equipment from current to new locations. Drivers are expected to ensure all required paperwork is in their truck, maintain trip sheets, interstate mileage records, and logbooks. They must also maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, perform light maintenance on their units, and keep pre-trip inspection records. Adherence to all safety policies, load securement requirements, and DOT laws, rules, and regulations is mandatory. The position requires close communication with supervisors and rig managers, documentation of work per Ensign standards, and a willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends, often on short notice. Drivers will report and correct unsafe practices, participate in safety programs, and attend operations training.
