About The Position

The Beauty Team Leader at Target is responsible for leading a team in delivering exceptional guest service in the beauty department. This role involves training and coaching team members, managing daily operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. The Beauty Team Leader will also focus on achieving sales goals, maintaining product availability, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Age 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development and modeling inclusive behaviors.
  • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Support the Executive Team Leader in developing a knowledgeable and passionate team about Beauty.
  • Encourage the team to use product samples to welcome and inspire guests.
  • Support and maintain all Beauty processes, organization, layout and replenishment of the sales floor.
  • Provide a seamless experience for guests navigating between Ulta Beauty and Core beauty.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
  • Lead team onboarding and learning and close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experience.
  • Model and instill in the team the behaviors that drive guest loyalty.
  • Maintain all required training and hold team members accountable to expectations.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs as set by the Executive Team Leader.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; hold the team accountable to work safely.
  • Address store needs such as emergency and regulatory visits.
  • Model and maintain all Ulta Beauty Service Standards and foster a productive relationship with the Ulta Beauty Business Partner.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning.
