About The Position

The Licensed Beauty Consultant at CVS Health is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the beauty retail division, focusing on delivering personalized beauty services and product advice. This role involves engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience, performing beauty services, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The consultant will also represent CVS and partner brands, ensuring high standards of service and product knowledge are upheld.

Requirements

• Must possess a current and valid Cosmetology/Esthetician License in the state of employment.
• Must maintain an active Cosmetology/Esthetician license at all times and display it during working hours.
• Demonstrate the ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing services.
• Pass all required skills assessments and training courses for paid services.
• Ability to use sales data with product knowledge to meet sales goals.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Goal-driven with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work a flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours.

Nice To Haves

• Prior beauty sales experience with a strong passion for beauty.
• Bilingual beauty advisors who can speak both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Seek out customers to ensure they have a world class beauty advisor experience.
• Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, productive upselling and suggestive selling.
• Maneuver in a conversation to stimulate a different thought process to generate sales.
• Be the brand expert by answering customer questions in detail with product knowledge.
• Engage all customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs and invite customers to in-store events.
• Provide ear-piercing services and other applicable beauty services as required.
• Educate beauty customers by demonstrating proper product usage and highlighting product features.
• Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services and walk-in clients.
• Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials.
• Participate in sales programs and events, representing CVS.
• Maintain a clean and compliant work area according to hygiene standards.
• Complete ongoing sales and service training in a timely manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company policies.
