About The Position

Covenant Village is seeking a part-time Beautician to provide beautician services to the Independent Living Residents in the Beauty Salon. The Beautician will assist Residents and family members through good communication, organization, creativity, and prioritization of tasks. The role involves developing personal relationships with Residents and their families, coordinating with the Resident Services Concierge for salon inventory and supplies, and maintaining the Beauty Shop according to all applicable laws and regulations, including current licensing. The Beautician must adhere to Covenant Village's schedule of charges and understand that the Beauty Salon is not their sole domain, as the company reserves the right to hire other Beauticians. The position also requires attending in-service training and championing the community's mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
Maintain appropriate beautician license for services provided.
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), creativity and organization skills.
Must be able to communicate clearly, politely and professionally with Residents, staff, families, and guests.
Capable of adequately managing personnel and administrative responsibilities at the direction of the Resident Services Concierge.
Able to read normal print (with or without corrective lenses).
Must be agile, efficient, able to physically assist Residents, comfortable pushing and pulling Residents in a wheelchair and able to balance, climb, crouch, pull, push, reach, stand for long periods of time, stoop, lift 40 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.
Able to follow instructions, give attention to detail and work well with others.

Experience working with the elderly population is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develops a personal relationship with Residents and their families while working in coordination with the Resident Services Concierge.
Communicates and works with the Resident Services Concierge to keep the Beauty Salon inventoried and furnished with the necessary supplies and equipment to provide the services.
Provide documentation of all services and fees charged to the Residents and Residents families, if needed.
Maintain the Beauty Shop according to all applicable laws and regulations including maintenance of current license.
Agrees to Covenant Villages schedule of charges.
Attends In-service training as directed by the Resident Services Concierge.
Champions the mission, vision, and core values of the community with all Staff, Residents and Families.
Adheres to all Covenant Village policies and procedures.
