About The Position

Navion is seeking a Hair Stylist / Beautician to operate its in-house salon on their own schedule. Our community is equipped with a full salon that serves to its residents. The Hair Stylist / Beautician should be a SC Licensed Cosmetologist and have a heart for working with seniors.
This is a Part-Time opportunity! $100 per month booth rent fee. Must do your own invoicing. Services are provided on a weekly basis to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. Must provide own insurance/license.

Requirements

• SC Licensed Cosmetologist
• High school diploma
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hands-on experience with makeup and hair removal techniques
• Familiarity with skin care therapies, like moisturizing, exfoliation and peeling
• Knowledge of beauty products and trends
• Ability to provide personalized services based on each client’s requirements.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long-term care environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
• Recommend hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes
• Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
• Cut, trim and shave hair using professional equipment
• Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
• Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
