As a Lead in Curbside, you'll spend most of your time serving as a backup to the Manager in their absence, select product to fill eCommerce online orders and package them in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You'll ensure all perishable and non-perishable eCommerce merchandise areas are clean and free of debris and provide a well-stocked and maintained department while providing superior customer service. Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
  • Education from a college or technical school, or high school diploma (or GED).
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • 1+ years of experience as an In-Store Shopper, or similar experience (preferred).
  • Expert customer service skills.
  • Strong communication & listening skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle cross-functional tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to use material-handling equipment and maintain license.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as backup to the department manager and typically works opposite shift to manager.
  • Coordinate department activities in the absence of the Manager.
  • Review and maintain retail control paperwork for eCommerce.
  • Provide feedback on current process and procedures for future needs of the business.
  • Communicate with Manager or Store Leadership on any issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Supervise, coach, develop, and train eCommerce team; supervise Partners in absence of Dept Manager.
  • Discuss and help resolve opportunities with other Dept Managers, Delivery Providers, and offsite fulfillment leaders in absence of Manager.
  • Build relationships and foster teamwork.
  • Provide on-the-spot feedback, guidance, and praise to Partners performing assigned tasks.
  • Review submitted orders and help coordinate proper allocation of resources to ensure accurate and on-time completion.
  • Minimize shrink through careful handling of product.
  • Achieve and monitor productivity standards.
  • Ensure eStore Dept is ready to receive deliveries from offsite fulfillment centers, if applicable.
  • Use a digital tool to select items necessary to complete order, pack and put away customer orders in staging area, retrieve orders for Customers, review customer orders, and communicate changes and adjust orders.
  • Perform Curbie and Personal Shopper duties as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by phone when reviewing orders with Customers; suggest items for substitute as needed; answer product-related questions, locate products, and help Customers as needed.
  • Package, transport, and load groceries and merchandise from the Store to the Customer's vehicle.
  • Ensure Customer orders are ready on time and meet their expectations.
  • Address Customer concerns; contact Customers needing additional support.
  • Model superior customer service for other Partners.
  • Gather baskets and pick up trash inside and outside eStore as needed.
  • Maintain and stock bag areas.
  • Organize, clean, and prepare prep areas, wareroom, and sales floor for incoming trucks.
  • Load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products to support eCommerce order selection.
  • Maintain standards for safety and sanitation.
  • Ensure Cold Chain standards are being upheld.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, and sanitation.
