About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Beamline Operator to operate our PythonX Beam Machine, LS Industries Blaster, and associated material handling equipment including overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks. This role plays a vital part in the fabrication process by ensuring structural steel components are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery, beamlines, or similar automated fabrication equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with the PythonX Structural Fabrication System.
  • Experience using industrial blasters.
  • Familiarity with structural steel fabrication and material identification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the PythonX Beamline Machine, ensuring precision cuts, holes, and marks on structural steel.
  • Operate the LS Industries Shot Blaster to clean and prepare steel beams for fabrication or finishing.
  • Load, unload, and maneuver raw materials and finished components using overhead cranes, forklifts, and other powered equipment.
  • Interpret fabrication drawings, work orders, and technical instructions to ensure accurate processing.
  • Perform basic machine troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine outputs to verify compliance with specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality inspectors to meet production goals.
  • Log production data, equipment checks, and maintenance activities as required.
