About The Position

Assemble and sub-arc weld beams for use in the manufacturing of trailers.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED is preferred.
• Must be familiar with wire feed welding equipment.
• Ability to apply good math skills to add, subtract, and divide fractions and/or decimals.
• Ability to work at a steady pace to assemble and weld beams that meet company standards for quality.
• Ability to use measuring tools and devices accurately.
• Possess a positive attitude, good work ethic, and ability to work in a goal-oriented team environment.
• Must possess good verbal & written communication skills.
• Must have good safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read and properly interpret blueprints for specified beams.
• Assemble beams to established quality standards for the sub arc weld process within acceptable limits set by TK.
• Perform tack, zipper, flat, horizontal, and submerged arc welds within acceptable quality standards set by TK.
• Assist Lead Welder in Beam Department to effectively and efficiently produce beams.
• Operate overhead and jib cranes safely and efficiently.
• Maintain acceptable attendance per company guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
