About The Position

The Beaker CPI Systems Analyst III at Cleveland Clinic Health System plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing laboratory information systems, specifically focusing on Blood Bank Lab Information Systems. This position involves troubleshooting, workflow analysis, and project coordination to enhance system functionality and ensure efficient operations across multiple blood banks. The analyst will collaborate with IT professionals and system users to implement and maintain Beaker/LIS applications, contributing to the overall patient care experience.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field with six years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience, or a high school diploma with eight years of experience in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
  • Experience in Beaker/LIS implementation or support, with specific experience in Blood Bank Lab Information Systems.
  • Certification/proficiency in one or more Epic applications and Beaker certification or other Lab Informatics System certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in transfusion medicine with automated instruments.
  • Experience as a Blood Bank System Analyst, preferably with Haemonetics STX.

Responsibilities

  • Support information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Beaker/LIS systems.
  • Troubleshoot Beaker/LIS related incidents and monitor interface errors.
  • Perform high complexity Beaker/LIS related builds and coordinate moderate to high complexity projects.
  • Participate in feasibility analysis, planning, designing, developing, and implementing automated systems.
  • Recommend solutions to enhance system functionality and gather technological requirements for design specifications.
  • Analyze, design, and build workflows to meet user needs and diagnose system problems, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities as required.
