About The Position

The Beach Blvd. Steamer Restaurant Supervisor serves as an ambassador for Island View Casino and the outlet. The Restaurant Supervisor leads and supports the front-of-house restaurant staff in providing guests with the delivery of a truly unique environment and dining experience. This is a Temporary position . Oversees the daily operation of the outlet to ensure all quality and safety standards and procedures are being met. Monitors and adjusts staffing based on business needs. Maintains work schedules and time keeping records for assigned staff. Directs, trains, and monitors performance of staff to maintain effective employee relationships. Ensures that assigned team adheres to company policies and safety practices. Provides guidance, resolution support, feedback, and coaching when necessary. Ensures that assigned teams have information and resources necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Assists Host in creating and overseeing the restaurant seating diagram to ensure proper guest count and server rotation. Monitors restaurant activity to determine the flow of the guests’ dining. Assesses reservation sheets to plan accordingly.Circulates throughout the restaurant frequently to check guest level of satisfaction and to assist staff as needed.Assists guests in a friendly and professional manner. Communicates any guest issues or concerns with staff members as necessary. Displays a professional demeanor at all times. Liaises with chef and culinary staff to address and resolve delays or quality issues which may arise. Maintains product inventory levels appropriately while managing related costs. Ensures that equipment operates properly and safely. Coordinates maintenance as needed.

Requirements

  • Five years restaurant experience with one to three years supervisory experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
