JOB OVERVIEW: The Pool & Beach Attendant is responsible for the daily setup, upkeep, and guest service operations at the pool and beach areas of The Colony Palm Beach. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of safety and town regulations, and an enthusiastic commitment to guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically capable, and able to create a high-touch, engaging guest experience that aligns with The Colony’s luxury standards.

Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment in an outdoor setting.
Strong attention to detail and safety.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with food and beverage service standards.
Ability to multitask during high-volume hours.
Previous experience in beach, pool, or resort operations.
Hospitality background in food, beverage, or guest services.
Outdoor beachfront and poolside environments.
Physical requirements include walking, lifting, bending, and working in all weather conditions.
Must be available weekends, holidays, and during peak seasonal times.
Uniforms and a professional appearance are required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Palm Beach regulations and standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Inspect golf cart for cleanliness and sufficient battery charge.
Load designated beach supplies from the beach tent into the golf cart, adhering to required par levels (e.g., 20 beach chairs, 12 umbrellas, 24 waters, etc.).
Transport equipment
Set up beach chairs and towels at designated stations along the public beach area, ensuring formation aligns with Colony standards and turtle nest protection laws.
Set umbrellas using the drill and anchor system; umbrellas must be secured and shaded per guest requests.
Maintain and monitor beach cleanliness, chair turnover, towel supply, and guest safety.
Greet and transport guests via golf cart or walk-in arrival and offer personalized touches such as beach photos and menu service.
Communicate with the pool/valet team via radio for upcoming guest arrivals.
Enforce policies such as no alcohol service, no unattended beach equipment, and respectful guest conduct on public property.
Follow all town regulations and environmental guidelines (e.g., sea turtle nest rules, public beach etiquette).
