About The Position

The Pool / Beach Attendant - provide towels and chair covers for guest at the pool and beach area. Clean up seaweed on the beach area throughout the day. Pick-up used towels throughout the day. Take dirty linen to housekeeping to be laundered. Qualifications Core Responsibilities: • Check chaises and cushions, straps at the pool - must be uniformly set up. • Clean up seaweed through out the day • Rake beach in the morning and at end of shift. • Pick up clean towels and chaise covers from housekeeping through out the day. • Set up small cart with clean towels • Sweep walkway around beach bar and pool • Set up water stations with water and cups • Open umbrellas by pool and beach • Pick up all discarded towels and chaise covers and take to the Laundry at the end of the day. • Close umbrellas by the pool and beach at end of day. Umbrellas must be tightened up. • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • High work ethic and self-initiative • Regular attendance according to established guidelines • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. • Focus and maintain attention to multiple tasks and priorities, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions, including in high pressure situations • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times • Ability to converse calmly with upset associates, superiors and guests in intense emotional situations Physical Requirements: • Stand, sit and walk for varying lengths of time • Lift approximately fifty (50) pounds • Push approximately fifty (50) pounds • Work in a hot or cold environment • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability This job description is not an exhaustive list of all job functions that are required of an employee in this position.
