About The Position

The BDC Manager at California Motors Direct is responsible for leading the Business Development Center team, focusing on enhancing customer experience and facilitating the vehicle purchasing process for potential customers. This role involves managing inbound leads, guiding customers through their buying journey, and ensuring a seamless transition to the sales team. The BDC Manager will play a crucial role in building rapport with customers and maintaining accurate records in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft and Google.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with a focus on collaboration and helping others succeed.
  • High School Diploma or Higher (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
  • 1+ years' sales, call center, account manager, or inside sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, and call center environment is preferred.
  • Experience in prospecting and cold calling into a large list of inbound leads.
  • Self-driven with a track record of exceeding goals in performance-based bonus structures.
  • Ability to apply consultative selling and align value-based solutions with customer needs.
  • Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting, effectively handling multiple priorities.

  • Experience with Dealer Management System(s), Outlook, and MS Office.
  • 'Start-Up' mindset or experience in problem-solving and polished resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for inbound (phone and internet) leads.
  • Interact with hundreds of customers via phone, email, and text to guide their vehicle purchase experience.
  • Respond to leads in a timely fashion, answering questions and providing information to facilitate store visits.
  • Qualify leads, build rapport with potential customers, schedule appointments, and follow up to ensure an enjoyable customer experience.
  • Communicate and listen to customer needs to help them select their perfect vehicle and coordinate a positive store visit experience.
  • Analyze consumer situations to provide appropriate solutions to meet their needs.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and following up with multiple customers.
  • Keep the CRM (DealerSocket) updated with accurate customer information and sales activities.
  • Understand business processes, identify objections, and report them to management for potential solutions.
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and collaboration in real-time troubleshooting.
