About The Position

Network Controls and Electric Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced Access Control Technician. The Access Control Technician will install specified card access systems offered by Network Controls to existing and new clientele throughout the Greater Greenville marketplace. Some travel may be required but will be on a case-by-case basis and is generally limited to a maximum of 2 weeks in duration.

Requirements

• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Teamwork oriented with mentoring skills and a willingness to help others.
• The ability to work with all departments internally.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Valid in-state Driver's License and acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Report/Driving Record).
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Tech School degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technicians install various components of a DAS/BDA system, including antennas, cables (coaxial, fiber optic, CAT5/6), BDA units (amplifiers), splitters, and grounding equipment.
• They interpret design drawings and blueprints to correctly place and secure components.
• They prepare, terminate, and secure various types of cables to the appropriate connectors.
• Technicians perform testing to verify signal strength and functionality, and they troubleshoot issues to ensure the system operates effectively.
• They also conduct maintenance and periodic inspections to ensure the systems remain compliant with building codes.
