About The Position

BCBA (Behavior Respite Program) — ABA SHINE Location: In person Hayward, Union City and Fremont. Compensation: $75–$80/hr (PT) or $110k–$115k (FT salary) DOE + mileage, CEU stipend. Receive a Bonus of $1000 after the first 6 months of employment. Why ABA SHINE We’re a small, BCBA woman-owned Bay Area agency building supportive, sane workloads for clinicians. Our programs with ABA intervention programs or the Behavior Respite program are staffed by trained RBTs/BTs and supervised by BCBAs and mid-level. For the BR program we focus on supporting safety, stability, and family quality of life —with lighter documentation than insurance-funded ABA and predictable, family-friendly schedules. What BCBAs love here Manageable caseloads (primarily respite cases; or parent training sessions-limited treatment hours) Hybrid flexibility (remote report writing/admin; field for trainings/overlaps) Paid drive time + mileage and paid documentation CEU stipend ($500 (PT)–$1,000 (FT)) + paid BACB fees Clinical autonomy & strong ops support (scheduling, authorizations, payroll handled centrally) Growth paths: Lead BCBA, training lead, QA, or program development Work you can feel good about: stabilize homes, prevent placement disruptions, and mentor early-career techs The Role You will oversee Behavior Technicians providing either ABA program or the Behavior Respite services for children and young adults served by the Regional Center. You’ll ensure services are safe, ethical, and consistent with BACB supervision standards and California Title 17/Regional Center requirements. (Behavior Respite is support-focused—not intensive treatment.) Core Responsibilities Conduct risk/safety and support needs reviews Train, coach, and supervise RBTs/BTs QA & compliance: Partner with caregivers, case managers, and schools to keep services consistent and sustainable . Champion ethical, culturally responsive practice and client dignity. What We avoid at ABA SHINE Oversized, treatment-heavy caseloads Endless insurance authorizations reports & lengthy staffing periods.
