About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their team at a program in Yuba City, CA. This role involves working in an enhanced behavioral support home or community crisis home, supporting individuals transitioning out of institutional settings such as psychiatric hospitals, developmental centers, and residential treatment facilities. BCBAs provide support to individuals who are dually diagnosed with an intellectual disability and a mental health diagnosis within a residential setting. Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services, with over 8,000 employees supporting nearly 40,000 individuals and families across 12 states.

Requirements

Master’s degree with valid BCBA certification
Two (2) years’ experience providing behavior supports for individuals with IDD and with mental health diagnosis
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing, supervising, and implementing behavior modifications
Competency in writing supports plans and effective verbal communication skills
Experience in supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) is required
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Primarily provide the required Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supervision to staff on an ongoing basis as assigned
Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) of presenting issues
Observe participants in various settings for developing the behavior support plan
Work within a multidisciplinary setting
