About The Position

Marcus Autism Center, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Emory University School of Medicine are conducting a search for an outstanding BCBA-D with specialization in behavior analysis to provide clinical care, oversight, and support in one of Marcus’ specialty treatment clinics that serve children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Marcus delivers an array of programs and services within three different treatment clinics that each target specific challenges associated with an ASD diagnosis (i.e., Severe Behavior, Skill Acquisition, and Feeding). Each treatment clinic offers intensive, daily services as well as less-intensive, caregiver-mediated interventions. All treatment programs emphasize caregiver training and the development of socially valid interventions. Marcus is seeking individuals who are interested in providing a high level of clinical care and who are interested in contributing to innovative assessment, treatment, and research activities. The BCBA-D will join a multidisciplinary treatment team that may include professionals from nursing, psychiatry, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and/or care coordination. Intervention across all treatment clinics focuses on the use of applied behavior analysis in designing assessment and treatment protocols. This position supports a clinical caseload that includes case management for individual clients, conducting assessments, and supervision and mentorship of trainees. There will also be opportunities for independent and/or collaborative research – contributing to a research team that has several ongoing clinical trials, epidemiological studies, and single-case design studies underway. Successful candidates will be well-trained and should possess a PhD and be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral level (BCBA-D). Ideal candidates will have clinical training/background in applied behavior analysis and psychology with experience in the assessment and treatment of challenges related to an ASD diagnosis such as challenging behavior, skill acquisition, and/or feeding disorders. Faculty affiliation or appointment in the Emory University Pediatrics Institute is possible, depending on qualifications of the candidate.
