McCombs School of Business is looking for Peer Coaches (PCs). PCs are McCombs students employed and trained by BBA Career Management staff to assist students with their job search. PCs will also have the opportunity to expand their own skills through project management. PCs report to BBA Career Management staff and will be assigned special projects. Presentation skills will be enhanced by assisting Career Coaches with workshops and special events. Both individual and group communication skills will be developed through interaction with students and the Career Management staff. PCs will gain valuable insights into the career planning process, which will give them a distinct advantage in their own search for an internship or a full-time position. This is a paid, on-campus position starting at $12/hour. The BBA Career Management team is dedicated to guiding you through all phases of career development. We offer individual advising, a BA 101 Career Planning Strategies course, specialized programming, and events/workshops. The Peer Coach will assist students during drop-in hours facilitating resume & cover letter reviews, as well as mock interviews and answering general recruiting questions. In addition, PCs may host introductory conversations with students about the BBA Career Management Office resources and support.
