The maintenance helper position is responsible for safely performing duties to light repair on production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. As a US FOODS® Battery Technician you will be responsible for assisting with and performing general maintenance functions on equipment, building, grounds, as required. Assist the maintenance department in ensuring equipment is in good working order. Perform general repairs, assist with the upkeep of equipment Help the team troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment. Assist with repair work from start to finish Help maintain the cleanliness of the area. Assure food is and safe work practices with company policies are always adhered to. Comply with food safety practices and all applicable requirements as they pertain to SQF and that are maintained. Support company-driven food safety improvement initiative Schedule: Sunday- Thursday (2nd Shift) Great Battery Technicians are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ required
  • A Minimum of 2 years’ clerical or other warehouse experience is required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience preferred.
  • Basic maintenance capabilities and repair skills
  • Must work with a sense of urgency, ability to follow associate and food safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, and work in a climate-controlled environment with temps ranging from 34 to 38 degrees.
  • Able to lift 75 lbs (with assistance) and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced noisy environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be a resource to others in the department and the division
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally and have strong customer service ability with all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work on complex tasks and prioritize workload amid competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience preferred.
