About The Position

The Battery Supplier Management Specialist supports the Supplier Development team by coordinating day‑to-day activities that ensure EV battery system suppliers meet Hyundai MOBIS quality, capacity, and delivery expectations. Handle day-to-day coordination, track project schedules, and help ensure our suppliers deliver quality parts on time. This role serves as a central communication bridge between suppliers and internal project teams, helping maintain smooth information flow and accurate project tracking throughout part development and mass production. The specialist monitors supplier performance, analyzes quality and capacity data, maintains project documentation, and assists in ensuring that parts are delivered on time and to required specifications. Additional responsibilities include supporting schedule management, participating in on‑site supplier visits, assisting with issue resolution, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a key role in supporting reliable supplier performance for MNAe's advanced electrified powertrain manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to organize data and present ideas.
  • Ability and willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and engineering specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Korean and English.
  • Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and design tools.
  • Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) and IATF 16949 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in part development and implementation for assigned BSA projects with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Handle daily tasks that support part development and mass production to help keep projects on schedule.
  • Track supplier capacity, review quality data, and keep project documents up to date.
  • Work as the main contact for suppliers and make sure information is shared clearly with our internal teams.
  • Read and analyze 2D/3D drawings.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and tactical execution strategies.
  • Provide management reporting on critical project milestones and risks.
  • Communicate regularly with upper management and HQ regarding project status and obtain approvals as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support suppliers in meeting quality requirements during development and production phases.
  • Respond to supply shortages and resolve supplier-related issues promptly.
  • Conduct value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review and approve supplier ISIR submissions and conduct quality audits.
  • Monitor supplier capacity and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure stable and timely delivery of supplier components for mass production.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Analyze production data and collaborate with suppliers to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on part changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
