The Battery/Light Service position at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah involves driving and operating specific service vehicles, such as tow trucks and battery service vehicles, to assist AAA members and commercial clients. In this role, you will be responsible for various essential functions, including driving service vehicles for tasks such as flat tire changes, lock-out services, and fuel delivery. You will utilize on-board computers, radio communications, and mapping systems to navigate and complete service requests efficiently. Daily paperwork, including call logs, battery invoices, and cash receipts, must be accurately completed to maintain records of service interactions. The position also requires leveraging sales skills to offer AAA products and services to members during service interactions, enhancing the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure. A common knowledge of vehicle components and reasons for vehicle failure is essential, along with problem-solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety. The ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles is required, and candidates must be at least 21 years old to apply.
