About The Position

As a Battery Changer at DB Schenker, you will be responsible for connecting and disconnecting power devices to material handling equipment. Your duties will include maintaining and replacing personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed, watering and washing batteries, and cleaning up acid spills. You will also check and maintain wires, devices, and all other elements used to replace and charge material handling equipment (MHE) power devices, while ensuring a clean work area.

Requirements

• This is an entry-level position.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Generally prefer 3-5 years of experience.
• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations in regards to storing and handling MHE power (propane, battery, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Connects and disconnects power devices to material handling equipment.
• Maintains and replaces PPE as needed.
• Watering and washing of batteries, acid spill clean-up.
• Checks and maintains wires, devices and all other elements used to replace and charge MHE power devices.
• Maintains a clean work area.
