Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a testing, fabrication, or lab environment.
  • Familiarity with machining, 3D printing, and mechanical assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
  • Proficiency in using standard measurement tools and lab instrumentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar).
  • Knowledge of adhesives, joining techniques, and prototype fixture fabrication.
  • Background in battery or EV-related testing environments.
  • Experience with sensors, data acquisition, and instrumentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain test setups that replicate module- and pack-level loading conditions for cells.
  • Apply lab-scale fabrication techniques, including machining, 3D printing, and adhesive bonding, to create fixtures and test hardware.
  • Operate lab equipment such as chillers, pumps, and load frames to conduct controlled mechanical tests.
  • Install and use sensors (temperature, pressure, displacement, force) to capture accurate test data.
  • Support troubleshooting of test rigs, equipment calibration, and fixture maintenance.
  • Work closely with engineers to refine test methods and ensure repeatable, reliable results.
  • Maintain detailed records of test setups, conditions, and results to support engineering analysis.
  • Follow strict safety procedures when working with high-voltage components and lab machinery.
