As a Batter Breader Operator at our Appleton, WI plant, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of all breading and batter equipment to ensure our snack foods are made to the highest standards and are delivered with quality, safety, and the end customer in mind. This role plays a vital part in product consistency and food safety in a fast-paced production environment. Your day-to-day may consist of: Operate, monitor, and adjust batter/breader equipment to maintain consistent product quality and adhere to established standards. Perform quality checks, calculate batter measurements, and accurately document production data throughout your shift. Identify and escalate safety and food safety risks, maintain workplace cleanliness, and follow all safety and GMP guidelines. Set up, order, issue, and return raw materials as needed, assist with freezer/fryer tasks, and support the Line Leader with daily operations. Apply knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance, adapt to changing tasks, and transport heavy objects safely using appropriate machinery. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.
