About The Position

R.E.Y. Engineers is seeking a Bathymetric LiDAR Associate to support and expand our advanced survey services. With the integration of our Riegl VMY-2 Dual Scanner Mapping System, this role will help lead our most innovative offerings. This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong professional who is excited to help grow our bathymetric surveying capabilities while contributing to cutting-edge mobile, UAV, and terrestrial LiDAR projects. This role blends technical expertise, project leadership, and business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both field operations and helps shape the future of a growing service line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Survey Engineering, or a related field. OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in land surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of LiDAR technologies (mobile, UAV, terrestrial) .
  • Working knowledge of GNSS technologies
  • Experience managing survey projects and client relationships
  • Familiarity with software such as TopoDOT, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Riegl RiPROCESS, Hypack, Applanix POSPac and LadybugCapPro and similar.
  • Experience integrating bathymetric and topographic datasets.
  • Interest or experience in business development and service line growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Hydrographer is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage bathymetric survey and mobile LiDAR projects from planning through final deliverables.
  • Support and expand business development efforts related to bathymetric and LiDAR services.
  • Oversee mission planning, data acquisition, and processing for bathymetric surveys and mobile LiDAR projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate bathymetric data with civil and survey workflows.
  • Develop workflows and best practices for emerging survey technologies.
  • Mentor junior staff and support team development in advanced data collection methods.
