About The Position
A Healthy Spot bather is responsible for providing outstanding services through friendly engagement with our guests. The general duties of a Pet Pros Bather include, but are not limited to: Perform bathing services for Groomers Learn grooming services to breed standards and pet parents’ preferences Always ensure the safety and well-being of pets under their care Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by engaging and educating our guests in a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere Become familiar with and understand retail products carried by Pet Pros, and refer products to grooming guests when appropriate Learn and understand Pet Pros’ loyalty, savings programs, and monthly promotions Learn and understand Pet Pros’ scheduling system and daily procedures Maintain grooming area cleanliness and organization Attends store meetings and trainings Other duties and projects as assigned The physical demands described here are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items and/or pets weighing up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements
- Passion for pets
- Inquisitiveness and desire to learn
- Promotes a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and educating other team members. Engages with team members in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
- Highly accountable and has integrity
- Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers
- Customer/Guest service and retail experience, preferably in the pet industry
- Knowledge of pet-related products
- Willingness to learn all aspects of pet grooming
- High school diploma or GED
- This is a variable-hour position; days and hours of work will vary. This position requires the flexibility to work within our normal store operating hours, including before and/or after hours and weekends.
- Occasional travel to other stores, meetings, and events, including before or after hours, is expected for this position.
