The role is for a Mill/Mixer Operator responsible for manufacturing high-quality printing ink. The company will train the right candidate to operate a Mill Machine and on TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.

Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma or (GED) desired
  • Have 3 months of work related experience
  • Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
  • Have attention to detail
  • Be reliable to work assigned shift
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required
  • Be able to perform an active role with any multi disciplinary teams
  • Have good attendance and punctuality
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
  • Post-offer, pre-employment drug screens, physicals, and background checks are required

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience (training provided)
  • Mixing, Mill, and Pump filter industry background
  • Previous experience within the Ink Industry

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and maintaining machine to TPM Standards
  • Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
  • Weigh-Up Batches: Following process order of addition. Shift auto and manual steps
  • Mix Batch: Discharging pigment and operating mixer safely; following and adhering to all INX Mixer SOP's
  • Hockmeyer mill operation: Running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards
  • Creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
  • Canning
  • Operating the following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
  • Acting as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data
  • Completing scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Helping with repacks
