About The Position

1st shift 7am - 3pm - Monday to Friday. Some overtime might be required. BASIC FUNCTIONS 1. Perform supply operation including preparation and setup of raw materials and equipment. 2. Operation of kettles, tanks and supporting equipment used in the production of clear soap products at the specified quantity and quality levels. 3. Maintain product quality standards by observation, sampling and operating equipment necessary to monitor product quality. Take any necessary corrective action. 4. Maintain the necessary production accounting records and reports to include batch card, process control, quality. 5. Properly package, count and document all supplies to be returned to inventory or scrapped. 6. Comply with procedures, methods, and standards in adherence with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP). 7. Duties relevant to the basic function. 8. Additional tasks as directed. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS A. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS 1. Operating details of the production processing equipment. 3. Operating details of the product handling equipment. 4. General knowledge of Clear Soap and Frame Room equipment, packaging equipment and finished product handling equipment. 5. Understanding of quality parameters as they relate to finished product. 6. Cooperate closely with other operators and managers. 7. Feedback is essential to good performance. Two-way communication is encouraged between Manager and Operator on a continuing basis. 8. Maintain an acceptable level of orderliness and cleanliness in areas of assigned work. 9. Understanding of and adherence to machine safety.

Requirements

  • Characteristics of clear soap and raw materials, including moisture levels, additives and techniques for incorporating theses additives into the final product.
  • Operating details of the production processing equipment.
  • Operating details of the product handling equipment.
  • General knowledge of Clear Soap and Frame Room equipment, packaging equipment and finished product handling equipment.
  • Understanding of quality parameters as they relate to finished product.
  • Cooperate closely with other operators and managers.
  • Feedback is essential to good performance. Two-way communication is encouraged between Manager and Operator on a continuing basis.
  • Maintain an acceptable level of orderliness and cleanliness in areas of assigned work.
  • Understanding of and adherence to machine safety.
  • Previous experience in a processing environment with exposure to machinery.
  • High school education with diploma or be able to demonstrate knowledge consistent with that level of education.
  • Capable of normal standing activities and moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Exposure to mild noise (machinery) and some mild nuisance dust.
  • Climate conditions are consistent with those of a normal manufacturing environment.
