About The Position
The Batch Plant Operator at Oldcastle Infrastructure will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the plant environment, primarily focusing on the operation of the mixer machine and batch plant, specifically utilizing Command Alkon software. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality concrete products that meet industry standards. The operator will be expected to use an overhead crane to pour concrete and must be vigilant in notifying supervisors of any non-conforming products or issues with machinery and materials. Effective communication with other employees and supervisors regarding production issues is essential to maintain workflow and quality control. In addition to operating machinery, the Batch Plant Operator will review products for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances, ensuring that all products meet the required quality specifications. Routine maintenance of the machinery is also a key responsibility, as it helps to prevent downtime and maintain operational efficiency. The operator must understand and apply safe practices in the use and operation of equipment, actively communicating safety-related matters with colleagues to foster a safe working environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role within the plant.
