Clarke in Schaumburg, IL is hiring a Batch Mixer Team Lead to help make mosquito control products that protect public health. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Batch Mixer, you'll help make sure products are made right and on time. You'll mix and measure ingredients, run equipment, keep things clean, and help ship products. You'll also report numbers and help out customers. When you're not mixing, you'll help keep things safe and stay up-to-date on packaging and chemical safety. Your work protects lives and helps keep communities around the world livable, safe and comfortable! In addition to performing Batch Mixing activities, you will take on the role of Team Lead, providing guidance and supervision to Clarke's 1st and 2nd shift manufacturing teams. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently achieved throughout all operations.

  • Oversight and Supervision: Assist with the day-to-day supervision of both shifts, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to company policies.
  • Schedule Management: Attend weekly schedule alignment meetings to coordinate production activities, and review and execute production schedules effectively. Coordinate preventative maintenance and contractors around scheduled repairs.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels to support uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Help manage the quality assurance process for all products manufactured during your shifts, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Documentation and Metrics: Develop, train and implement manufacturing documentation, and monitor key operating metrics to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in Specialty Chemicals, Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, or Organic industries preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a lead, supervisory, or training role required.
  • Hands-on experience with liquid chemical blending and granular/tablet manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an accredited quality environment (i.e., Lean Manufacturing, ISO, etc.).
  • Previous experience operating a forklift experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office and ERP systems required.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage projects under budget and time restraints, ability to organize time and tasks with little direction or supervision.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50-100 lbs. (100 w/ assistance), sitting, walking short distances, reaching, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, and wearing a respirator and other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Tolerance to various chemical odors required.
  • High School/GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform housekeeping activities (i.e., inventory placement, cleaning equipment etc.) and all other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to effectively partner with employees, management, department, and cross functional teams to meet performance objectives and to support the mission and vision of the Company.
  • Batch processing experience a plus.
