Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead hourly production employees (including Batch Makers) on assigned shift Ensure adherence to daily production schedules and escalate issues impacting throughput, quality, or safety Monitor batch-making operations and raw material usage; ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to blend formulations Enforce proper PPE usage, housekeeping standards, and safety protocols, including hazardous material handling Drive compliance with ISO 14001, Quality Management System procedures, and 5S practices Collaborate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS to resolve equipment issues, process deviations, and safety concerns Conduct Tier 1 meetings, communicate KPIs, and track employee performance, attendance, and cross-training progress Support hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of production staff Verify readiness of production areas including tank farms, staging zones, and packaging stations Act as a point of contact for work prioritization, schedule updates, and shift transitions Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated leadership experience Understanding of batch chemical manufacturing and material handling, including tank farm operations Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety protocols Forklift certification preferred Comfortable working in hot environments and wearing required PPE Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) Physical & Environmental Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Regular exposure to elevated temperatures, fumes, and dust Must be able to lift 50 lbs occasionally Must be able to wear required PPE including eye protection, steel/composite toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection Equipment Used: Calculator Computer Phone Vehicle with automatic transmission Fork Lift Working Conditions: Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirt, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings. Atmosphere may contain fumes, dust, gas, and poor ventilation. Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Occasional overtime or weekends required.
