About The Position

As a Night Stocker at H-E-B, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for stocking shelves and ensuring that the store is organized and well-stocked during nighttime hours. This role requires hard work, energy, and stamina, as you will be working in a fast-paced environment while everyone else is asleep. You will learn about various products and departments, which can serve as a foundation for future career opportunities within the company. Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Experience in stocking and customer service preferred.
• Experience in a physically demanding job is a plus.
• Forklift/power jack training provided upon hire.
• Understanding of SOPs related to emergency procedures and proper stocking.
• Strong communication, reading, and writing skills.
• Organization and time-management skills.
• Customer service skills and a service mentality.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
• Ability to think on your feet and work with agility.
• Ability to work as part of a team to meet nightly goals.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves and refills displays.
• Loads, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products; may unload trucks.
• Conditions shelves and products.
• Learns and applies product knowledge with attention to detail.
• Keeps department clean and well-organized, including back room and shelves.
• Ensures compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and leader direction.
• Meets federal, state, and company regulations for product food safety and sanitation.
• Works efficiently with a team attitude and maintains productivity standards.
• Takes constructive feedback well and applies learning to future tasks.
• May coach or train other Stockers.
• Operates with a team mindset and builds relationships across departments.
• Learns and models customer service and hospitality.
• Assists customers in locating products and answering product questions.
