About The Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for a creative and energetic addition to the Basketball Operations (BBOps) department. In this role, you will work in an inclusive space that encourages you to step outside of your comfort zone while learning firsthand from BBOps staff (Front Office, Coaching, Performance, etc.). Additionally, you will be assigned projects and tasks that allow you to experience the daily operations of our department. This position reports to the Vice President, Player Development. Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in basketball operations, preferably for a college or professional sports team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment and passion for basketball; understanding of NBA rules and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Assist player development staff with on-court workouts, including draft workouts
  • Rebound, pass, and live/dummy defense during workouts and drills (wipe wet spots, keep track of stats, run the clock, etc.)
  • Set up and break down locker room and court prior to workouts
  • Support staff during draft workouts by transporting players to and from workouts, escorting players to different stations, supervising testing, tracking on-court workout metrics, etc.
  • Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions to understand basketball and business operations
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations within Basketball Operations
  • Other duties as assigned
